Frequently Asked Questions
What do my riding abilities need to be to qualify for the RFSK?
Riders should be able to consistently and confidently ride 28-35kms in a bunch, and have the endurance to ride at least 150kms in one day.
What type of bike should I be riding in the RFSK?
All riders are expected to use a Road Bike or eBike (not a time trial bike, BMX, mountain bike, hybrid bike or single speed bike) which has been fully serviced prior to the tour. Note: All riders are encouraged to have new tyres to reduce the instance of punctures.
How much do I need to fundraise to be eligible for the RFSK?
7 Days
All riders are expected to raise a minimum of $5,000 prior to the ride, to be eligible to join the tour for all 7 days.
2 Days
If you are participating in the 2 day ride, riders are expected to raise a minimum of $1,500 prior to the ride.

What happens if the event is cancelled due to COVID-19?
In the case that this event is made impossible to proceed, either by force majeure events (such as a COVID-19 outbreak) or by acts of third parties (such as strikes, terrorist acts or government orders), negotiations would take place with participants in terms of the return/refund of registration fees with potential to transfer funds raised to a future fundraising event (within 12 months of the planned event) if the participant chooses to participate again. If the participant elects not to ride in the subsequent years event, all funds raised by the fundraiser at the point of cancellation will be retained by the charity.
RMHC SA will take every measure to notify Riders of any changes to the schedule as soon as possible.
What are the other ways that I can support RMHC SA?
